With the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead right down the road, this is a location that puts some of the best parts of Colorado mountain living close to home. Lot 134 Elk Road is tucked among the trees in the St. Mary's Subdivision, with the mountains rising around the community and hiking, lakes and outdoor recreation all nearby. Head down the road and you're at the trailhead for St. Mary's Lake and the glacier. The community itself has two private lakes, Silver Lake and Lake Quivira, where members of the voluntary POA can purchase fishing and watercraft badges. Annual voluntary POA membership is just $60. Elk Road is publicly maintained, and the property is approximately 9 miles up Fall River Road from I-70, giving you a true mountain setting without being hours from the Denver metro area. Downtown Idaho Springs is at the bottom of Fall River Road for restaurants, shops and everything else you need before heading back up the mountain.
